Overview
The Extreme Misbar Black Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) has even less white than the typical Black Misbar, making it quite rare. Sometimes only having a head bar or a tail dot, some of the patterns on these fish are truly awesome and unique. Extreme Misbar patterns are the least commonly observed stripe mutation, which makes them highly desirable but often hard to find.
Black Ocellaris begin life orange colored and switch to black as they mature. The Black Ocellaris you receive may still have some orange color, especially on the face. This will usually disappear as they age resulting in a solid black and white adult. Some specimens may retain some orange on their face. Due to the variation in stripe patterns, the fish you receive may look slightly different from the ones pictured. Like other Ocellaris Clownfish, this fish is hardy, easy to care for, and an excellent choice for beginners and seasoned aquarists alike.
